The blocks for NJPW World Tag League have been finalized, with four teams advancing into the semi-finals. The semi-finals will take place on December 10th and 12th, with the tournament finals set for December 14th.
On December 8th, league matches for A Block were rounded off. The top two teams in A Block ended their tournaments 0n 10 points. Gabe Kidd and Yota Tsuji captured their final points with a win over Satoshi Kojima and Taichi. Then, Bishamon secured their spot in the semi-finals with a big win over Drilla Maloney and Shingo Takagi. With YOSHI-HASHI and Hirooki Goto getting a victory of Kidd and Tsuji earlier in the tournament, they finish as the A Block winners.
B Block was decided on December 9th. Four teams all finished the round robin stage on 8 points. With tie-breakers in effect, the Knockout Brothers finish as B Block winners, while Zack Sabre Jr. and Ryohei Oiwa advance as runner-ups. Shota Umino and Yuya Uemura, as well as Callum Newman and Great-O-Khan, are the two teams that missed out on semi-final places due to tie-breakers.
The first semi-final on December 10th will pit Bishamon against Sabre Jr. and Oiwa. Then, Kidd and Tsuji will face the Knockout Brothers on December 12th. The winners will advance to the NJPW World Tag League finals on December 14th.
