Today, New Japan Pro-Wrestling, CMLL and Major League Wrestling announced the formation of a “strategic partnership”
In the press release, MLW’s CEO Court Bauer said the following: “It’s a privilege and honor to forge an alliance with CMLL and work with Mr. Salvador Lutteroth Lomeli and his team while expanding MLW’s relationship with New Japan to create an extraordinary collaboration,” He continued by adding “I wish to thank Mr. Salvador Lutteroth Lomeli, Mr. Naoki Sugabayashi, Mr. Takami Ohbari and Rocky Romero for building the foundation for this opportunity. We look forward to showcasing the extraordinary athletes from Mexico, Japan, and America for fans worldwide.”
Last month, KUSHIDA appeared in MLW to take on Tony Deppen and CMLL and NJPW’s joint Fantastica Mania shows took place in Manchester last week, headlined by Michael Oku defending his Undisputed British Heavyweight Championship in the main event of Day 2 against Hechicero.
New Japan and CMLL have had a long-standing partnership that links to its current unit, Los Ingobernables de Japon.
