New IWGP Women’s Champion Sareee Says Winning The Title Has Saved Her, Looking Forward To Her First Challenger

On June 21st at “STARDOM THE CONVERSION 2025”, Sareee became the new IWGP Women’s Champion when she defeated Syuri in a match that is being referred to as a must see encounter.

By winning the title, Sareee accomplished a goal that she set for herself at the start of the year. One could see the absolute joy on Sareee’s face following her victory and the IWGP Women’s Title strapped around her waist.

During Sareee’s post-match backstage interview, she indicated that the title win has saved her and she is looking forward to finding out who her first challenger will be.

From Sareee:

“Since returning from America, I’ve been told a lot of things. I’ve been told that I failed, that I couldn’t do it, and so on, but I believe this result has saved me completely.  No one came to the ring while I was wearing this belt. I really wonder if that’s okay. I’m really looking forward to seeing who will be the first to aim for this belt.”

Sareee is the fifth woman to hold the coveted IWGP Women’s  Championship and it is a certainty that she will be a fighting champion ready to take on all challengers.
