Miku Aono Retains, Mayu Iwatani & Victoria Yuzuki Return at MARIGOLD SUMMER DESTINY 2026

On Aug. 9th, Marigold presented SUMMER DESTINY 2026 at the Ota City General Gymnasium with crowd of 1,310 fans in attendance for the event.

The main event saw Marigold World Champion Miku Aono making her sixth defense of the title as she faced the challenge of Nagisa Nozaki.

Nozaki gave the champion all she could handle and more but in the end it was Aono who able to prevail and retain her title. Aono hit Nozaki with a Lariat which was enough to end the match at the 18:41 mark.

After the match, Aono addressed the crowd in attendance.

“As a champion, I wondered what I should be like. I sometimes felt anxious about whether I could be a champion worthy of the title. In other action, Mayu Iwatani and Victoria Yuzuki made their much anticipated return to in-ring action after being out due to injury.

Iwatani teamed up with Yuzuki as they faced the very tough tandem of Sareee & Takumi Iroha A.K.A. Spark Rush.

There was bad blood between the two teams which resulted into a hard-fought, hard-hitting affair as the fans welcomed back Iwatani & Yuzuki.

Spark Rush spoiled the returns of Iwatani & Yuzuki after Sareee pinned Yuzuki following a Uranage finisher in a match that had the fans on the edge of their seats.

In addition, a major title change occurred as Misa Matsui, CHIAKI & Rea Seto defeated Mai Sakurai, Natsumi Showzuki & Erina Yamanaka to become the new Marigold 3D Trios Champions.

• Marigold 3D Trios Title: Misa Matsui, CHIAKI & Rea Seto defeated Mai Sakurai, Natsumi Showzuki & Erina Yamanaka (c) (15:05) after a reverse wing hold from Seto against Sakurai – title change (Failed 3rd defense -> 2nd Champions).
• Marigold Twin Star Title: Kouki Amarei & Chika Goto (c) defeated Shinno & Yuuka Yamazaki (13:27) after a Gotone special from Goto against Shinno (3rd defense).
• Double Return Match – Special Tag Match: Sareee & Takumi Iroha defeated Mayu Iwatani & Victoria Yuzuki (19:13) after a Uranage of Sareee against Yuzuki.
