Miku Aono Admits To Being Extremely Nervous Facing Nanae Takahashi In Her Final Match, Vows To Win And Become Leader For Marigold

On May 24th at Marigold Shine Forever 2025 at Yoyogi National Stadium, pro-wrestling great Nanae Takahashi will end her incredible career as she is set to have her retirement match. Her final opponent will be Miku Aono, who confronted Takahashi on May 4th in Korakuen Hall and made the challenge to be her last opponent.

Aono has been gearing up for her match against Takahashi as she has competed in a number of successful singles matches for Marigold. Over the past two weeks, Aono holds singles victories over Kizuna Tanaka, Rea Seto and Misa Matsui.

Recently, Aono spoke with Tokyo Sports about her upcoming match with Takahashi. Aono admits facing the legendary competitor in her retirement match has made her the most nervous she has been in her entire life. She also touched upon Takahashi wanting to face Giulia before she retired.

From Miku Aono:

“I’m the most nervous I’ve ever been in my life, and I feel a lot of pressure. But I’m going to give it my all so that neither I nor Nanae will have any regrets. She had called on Giulia-san to face her on her retirement road, so I think she actually wanted to fight Giulia-san too. But since this is her last match, I want to leave no regrets, so I will beat Nanae so hard that she won’t even think about Giulia. Passion!”

Despite the pressure and nervousness felt by Aono, she has vowed to defeat Takahashi and become a leader for Marigold.

From Miku Aono:

“I’ll defeat Nanae-san, and this time I’ll be the one to lead Marigold to become number one in the world. And then I will become a wrestler who will go down in women’s wrestling history as the one who ends Nanae Takahashi’s career.”

While May 24th will be sad in terms of Takahashi stepping away from pro-wrestling after an amazing 28 years, this match will have significant importance for Aono. A victory over Takahashi would be a huge milestone for the former Marigold United National Champion. There is only one person that can go down in history for ending Nanae Takahashi’s career. And her name is Miku Aono.
