After losing 65 matches in a row, the Independent Junior Heavyweight Champion Megaton is now in the midst of a new streak which she can be proud of.
One day removed from shocking the pro-wrestling world by defeating Kuroshio Tokyo Japan for the Independent Junior Heavyweight Championship, Megaton faced Yuuka Yamazaki & Komomo Minami at the March 15th Marigold Spring Victory Series 2026 in front of 535 fans at the Sun Pearl Arakawa in Tokyo.
Fan favorite Megaton defeated Yamazaki & Minami with a Double Horizontal Cradle to win her second bout in a row.

Prior to her win of Kuroshio on March 14th, the last time she tasted victory was on June 23rd 2025 as she was on the winning side of a six woman tag team bout. Her last singles win in Marigold prior to March 14th was on May 30, 2025.
With a two match win streak now under her belt, Megaton looks to keep the momentum going as she hopes to continue her winning ways.
The Marigold Spring Victory Series 2026 event on March 15th was a homecoming for Arakawa native Chika Goto as she teamed with Utami Hayashishita to face the GHC Women’s and Marigold Superfly Champion Mayu Iwatani & Marigold United National Champion Victoria Yuzuki in the main event.
Yuzuki spoiled the homecoming of Goto as she pinned her with a cross-arm-style suplex hold to end the bout at the 22:41 mark.
Goto had these comments during her backstage post-match interview:
From Chika Goto:
“Utami, thank you so much for standing next to me during my homecoming match at Gochika! The home crowd was so incredibly supportive, but I couldn’t pull off the win, and now I’ve been labeled as the ‘woman who can’t win in her homecoming match.” (Translation via Deepl.com)
