In the most recent STARDOM show, one of the highlights was the reunion of “Best Friends” Tsukasa Fujimoto and Arisa Nakajima to face the team of IWGP Women’s Champion Mayu Iwatani and Hanan. The match itself was a great exhibition within the game, and the perfect scenario for “Best Friends” to prove their worth to those that don’t know them. At the end of such a bout, the “Best Friends” were victorious and Iwatani was heartbroken and frustrated.

Nonetheless, Iwatani was proud of both Fujimoto and Nakajima, even though she was defeated. STARDOM’s Icon wanted to set the record straight and decided to challenge Fujimoto to an IWGP Women’s Title match, which Fujimoto accepted. Iwatani’s reign with the IWGP crown is looking to be the most interesting yet, and she’s even going through injuries to keep it around her waist, based on what Nakajima did in their match, focusing her attack on her ribs. Fujimoto vs. Iwatani sure sounds like a dream match because it’ll be both STARDOM’s Icon and Ice Ribbon’s face for the very first time in singles action.
