Marvelous Superstar Takumi Iroha To Challenge GHC Women’s Champion Kouki Amarei, Iroha Comments On Opportunity

By: Lewis Carlan

At the May 26th edition of Pro Wrestling NOAH’s Monday Magic, which was the first episode of the new season, the GHC Women’s Champion Kouki Amarei teamed with Marigold Super Flywieght Champion Mayu Iwatani. The two champions faced and defeated the team of Sadie Gibbs & Great Sakuya.

Following the match, Marvelous superstar Takumi Iroha appeared and set her sights on Amarei and the GHC Women’s Championship. Iroha challenged Amarei for the title and the challenge was quickly accepted. The two will meet for the belt on the June 2nd edition of NOAH’s Monday Magic at Shinjuku FACE.

Iroha took to social media to post a very short yet very to the point message.

From Takumi Iroha:

“Next week, I’ll be aiming for the GHC Women’s title. I’ll make the GHC Women’s belt shine.”

This is the second major singles championship opportunity that Iroha has seen in the last three days. On May 24th, Utami Hayashishita nominated her as the next challenger for her Marigold World Title. That match has not yet been made official but it is expected to be in the near future.

Iroha is the current Marvelous AAAW Champion as well as the AAAW Tag Team Champion with Sareee. She also holds the RCW Women’s Championship. When all is said and done, Iroha could very be a quintuple champion.

Amarei will be making her second defense of the GHC Women’s Title when she meets Iroha next week. She won the title back in Nov. 2024 and made one successful defense in Jan. 2025. Unfortunately, Amarei was injured during her first defense against Chika Goto and was forced to remain on the sidelines for a few months to recover. Amarei returned on May 24th at Marigold SHINE FOREVER 2025 in tag team action.

Now that Amarei is back competing, she is ready to be a fighting champion and that begins for her on June 2nd against Takumi Iroha.
