Marigold’s Dojo Officially Opens, Shuji Kondo Named Dojo Coach

Today was a big day for Marigold as its official Dojo began operations in Tokyo. Marigold talent had been previously training at the Dojo’s belonging to other promotions, but today that became a thing of the past.

Long time Puroresu star Shuji Kondo has been named the coach at the Marigold Dojo and will be in charge of training the talent. Kondo has 24 years of experience and is currently a freelancer who can be seen competing in Pro Wrestling NOAH, Dragongate, DDT Pro-Wrestling and All Japan Pro-Wrestling.

A six woman sparring session was held today that was open to the media. Kondo served as the referee for the training session.

To help celebrate the grand opening, Utami Hayashishita, Chika Goto & Komomo Minami prepared Chankonabe, which is a Sumo Stew, for the roster, staff and press in attendance.

Having its own official Dojo is a huge step in the right direction for Marigold. The promotion can now concentrate on developing new talent that will be vital to the future growth of Marigold.

It’s safe to say that Rossy Ogawa is a very proud man today as his promotion has added another rung to its ladder of success.
