Results of the First Day of the Marigold Dream Star GP 2025

Marigold kicked off the Dream Star Grand Prix 2025 in Osaka, and more than one result came as a surprise. The Marigold summer tournament features 16 participants divided into two blocks of eight participants each.

In the pre-show match, Komomo Minami, Shinno, Minami Yuuki, and Yuuka Yamazaki defeated Nao Ishikawa, Humming Bird, Nagisa Tachibana, and Megaton. The tournament action began with Seri Yamoka defeating Chiaki to earn her first two Dream League points. Nagisa Nozaki then defeated Kizuna Tanaka to earn her first two Star League points. In the third match, Kouki Amarei defeated Rea Seto to earn her first two Dream League points. In the fourth match, MIRAI defeated Chika Goto to earn her first two Star League points. So far, the show has gone off without surprises.

In the second half of the show, Misa Matsui defeated Miku Aono to earn her first two points in the Star League. A completely surprising result, but one that is well-deserved, as it demonstrates Matsui’s significant growth over the past year, especially since joining Darkness Revolution. In the sixth match, Mayu Iwatani defeated Maria to earn her first two points in the Dream League. A dream match that became a reality due to Senka Akatsuki’s delicate health, which forced her to withdraw from the tournament, allowing half of Magenta to compete in her place.

In the semi-main event, Chanyota defeated Mai Sakurai to earn her first two points in the Star League. Another surprising result, as Chanyota lost to Sakurai in their title match earlier this year. Now Chanyota can opt to challenge the United National Champion again after the tournament. In the main event, Victoria Yuzuki defeated Utami Hayashishita to earn her first two points in the Dream League. Another surprising result, but similar to Matsui’s, reflects Yuzuki’s growth, as she will celebrate her second anniversary as a professional wrestler in a few months.

These results leave the outlook uncertain as to who will win each block, adding to the excitement as two young wrestlers like Matsui and Yuzuki, and outsiders like Chanyota, have achieved important victories on the opening day.
