Itoh had a wild match on January 4th against Rina Yamashita, which included weapons and tables. The timetable for her return is unknown, as it depends on the speed of recovery. This absence will also affect her overseas dates, as she is frequently a part of GCW and various US independent companies.
Itoh was preparing to participate in a battle royal to determine the next challenger for the Princess of Princess Championship, which Miyu Yamashita holds. That match will now be a 5-person bout with Mizuki, Rika Tatsumi, Shoko Nakajima, Yuki Kamifuku, and Miu Watanabe. This follows TJPW recently announcing Hikari Noa vacating her Princess Tag Title due to poor health. TJPW is set to have their next show, Inspiration, on January 6th.
