Maika Keeps Hold of Red Belt in First Defence

Maika has retained her World of Stardom championship against challenger Saya Kamitani

By: James Carlin

The Crimson Empress shocked the world when she defeated Suzu Suzuki in the main event of Dream Queedom 2023 to win the World of Stardom championship. Today she proved her win wasn’t a fluke by defeating Saya Kamitani to get her first succesful defence as champion at Supreme Fight 2024.

She defeated the Golden Phoenix after two michinoku drivers, with today’s match being their third one-on-one together in title matches at three, having fought for the Future of Stardom and Wonder of Stardom championships previously, and their sixth singles match overall.

Tam Nakano, who was forced to relinquish the Red Belt following her knee injury, returned to the ring earlier in the show and proclaimed that “Chapter 2 of the Tam Road” has begun. Maika called out Nakano after her first defence, nominating her to be the next challenger.

The show ended with a full roster picture including Oedo-Tai, as well as Natsupoi and Momo Kohgo who are currently injured.
