Kento Miyahara Retains AJPW Triple Crown Title In Thriller Against Go Shiozaki

By: Lewis Carlan

On October 21st, All Japan Pro-Wrestling held its “RAISING AN ARMY MEMORIAL SERIES 2025” event at Korakuen Hall. There was a total of 1,322 fans in attendance to witness Kento Miyahara make his first defense of his seventh Triple Crown Title  reign against former Pro Wrestling NOAH superstar and current HAVOC unit member Go Shiozaki.

Shiozaki was attempting to regain the AJPW Triple Crown Championship he last held 10 years ago. Back on March 27th 2015, Shiozaki successfully defended his Triple Crown Title against Miyahara. In addition, Shiozaki and Miyahara were AJPW World Tag Team Champions back in 2015, so the two combatants have a lot of history together.

The match lived up to it’s hype as the two superstars engaged in a thriller. The crowd at Korakuen Hall on Oct. 21st were solidly behind Miyahara as they loudly chanted his name throughout the encounter. Shiozaki was close on a number of occasions of becoming the new champion but it was a Miyahara Shutdown Suplex that ended the match at the 22:56 mark as the champion retained his title.

Following the match, Miyahara had a few words for Shiozaki and then they embraced as a sign of respect towards one another.

Hokuto Omori appeared while Miyahara was about to close out the event and attacked the champion. Omori declared his challenge for the Triple Crown Title which Miyahara appeared to accept.
