The All Japan Pro-Wrestling “SUMMER ACTION SERIES 2026” tour landed at Kobe Sambo Hall on July 25th with another sold out crowd on hand for the event.
The highly anticipated featured bout saw the AJPW Triple Crown Champion Kento Miyahara making the eighth defense of his seventh reign against the challenge of Ren Ayabe.
What ensued between Miyahara and Ayabe was a hard-hitting affair that kept the fans invested in the bout from start to finish. Ayabe attempted to use his size and strength advantage in an effort to dethrone the champion but it was not to be for the challenger. After numerous near falls, it was Miyahara who was able to land his patented Shutdown Suplex to pin Ayabe and end the match at the 22:59 mark of the match.
After his victory, which was his eighth straight successful defense, Miyahara praised Ayabe and shook his hand in a show of respect for the challenger.
After Ayabe departed the ring, Miyahara began addressing the crowd when former AJPW Triple Crown Champion Yuma Anzai appeared and confronted Miyahara. Anzai challenged Miyahara for his Triple Crown belt and suggested the bout take place on Aug. 29th.
