Kenta and Marufuji Collide at Korakuen Hall on NOAH Star Navigation Premium

By: Pep S. Caro

Pro Wrestling NOAH held a new edition of Star Navigation Premium 2025 at Korakuen Hall. This event was the last major event before the start of N-1 Victory 2025, its annual summer tournament. The main event featured a GHC Heavyweight Championship match between two icons of “The Ark”: KENTA and Naomichi Marufuji.

  1. Alejandro, Kai Fujimura, Daiki Odashima & Eita defeat AMAKUSA, Atsushi Kotoge, Hiromu Takahashi & Junta Miyawaki
  2. HAYATA, Tetsuya Endo & Ulka Sasaki defeat Black Menso-re, Kenoh & Shuhei Taniguchi
  3. Team 2000X (Masa Kitamiya & Tadasuke) defeat Daiki Inaba & Manabu Soya
  4. Team NOAH (Go Shiozaki, Hajime Ohara & Mohammed Yone) defeat Team 2000X (Daga, Knull & Takashi Sugiura) via DQ
  5. Kaito Kiyomiya defeats Harutoki
  6. Alpha Wolf, Dragon Bane, Galeno & Super Crazy defeat Bendito, Calibus, Flamita & Luis Mante
  7. OZAWA defeats Owadasan
  8. GHC Heavyweight Championship: KENTA (c) defeats Naomichi Marufuji

The event at Korakuen Hall kicked off with a match between the Junior division members. Eita, Alejandro, Kai, and Odashima defeated Hiromu, AMAKUSA, Kotoge, and Miyawaki. It was a fast-paced and entertaining match in which Hiromu was able to compete against several NOAH Juniors. There was a brief exchange between him and Odashima that will surely be revisited later.

In the second match, HAYATA, Endo, and Sasaki defeated Kenoh, Menso-re, and Taniguchi. A quick match in which Kenoh began to warm up for the N-1. Tetsuya Endo and Sasaki were a team today, but will face each other later in the tournament. In the third match, TEAM 2000X defeated Passionate RATEL’s. Kitamiya continues to gain momentum in the run-up to the N-1, after defeating Inaba again.

In the fourth match, Team NOAH defeated Team 2000X by disqualification. Shiozaki declared after the match that he’s tired of T2KX’s antics and that, along with Team NOAH, he will personally take on the main heel faction of “The Ark.” In the fifth match, Kiyomiya defeated Harutoki. It was a fast-paced and entertaining bout between members of ALL REBELLION, with the special twist of Harutoki announcing that he’s now a member of the Pro Wrestling NOAH roster. Furthermore, after defeating Shiozaki a few days ago, he will compete in N-1 Victory 2025.

In the sixth match, Los Golpeadores, Galeno, and Super Crazy defeated the Trios Champions of Dragon Gate and Calibus. The match featured plenty of grappling and aerial maneuvers, delighting the fans at Korakuen Hall. The Galeno Special was decisive in helping the GHC National Champion secure victory for his team.

In the semi-main event, OZAWA defeated Owadasan. A match between members of Team 2000X served as a farewell to Owadasan, who will make his overseas excursion at a location yet to be confirmed. In 2024, OZAWA went to England to compete in PROGRESS, where Yoshiki Inamura previously competed, currently in the United States with WWE NXT. Those two seem to be the most likely places we might see Owadasan in the near future.

In the main event, KENTA defeated Marufuji to retain the GHC Heavyweight Championship. This was a highly anticipated match for fans of “The Ark”. We saw a los of hard hitting during the match. However, the long duration of the bout showed that the wrestlers were not in adequate physical condition, which hampered the quality of the final part of the match. Both will compete in N-1 Victory, but on opposite blocks. There’s some time to rest and recharge energy before the tournament.
