Kenta Gains Momentum in Saitama Ahead of His Match with Yoshiki Inamura at NOAH

Pro Wrestling NOAH held another Sunny Voyage show, this time in Kusakabe, Saitama. Saitama is closely associated with NOAH, so every time wrestlers compete in the prefecture, it’s considered a show at “home”. The card consisted of 7 matches and included the presence of new wrestlers from WWE’s NXT.

  1. Eita & Manabu Soya defeat Hajime Ohara & Mohammed Yone
  2. Atsushi Kotoge defeats Shuhei Taniguchi
  3. Junta Miyawaki defeats AMAKUSA and Black Menso-re
  4. Hank And Tank (Hank Walker & Tank Ledger) defeat Los Golpeadores (Alpha Wolf & Dragon Bane)
  5. Team 2000X (Masa Kitamiya, Tadasuke & Takashi Sugiura) defeat Daiki Odashima, Kenoh & Naomichi Marufuji
  6. Yoshiki Inamura defeats Shuji Kondo
  7. HAYATA, KENTA, Tetsuya Endo & Ulka Sasaki defeat All Rebellion (Alejandro, Harutoki, Kai Fujimura & Kaito Kiyomiya)

In the opener, the unexpected duo of Eita and Soya defeated Ohara and Yone of TEAM NOAH. The fast-paced match served to warm up the Saitama crowd with Soya’s passionate moves and the playful interactions between Eita and Yone. In the second match, Kotoge defeated Taniguchi. Another bout that served to boost Kotoge’s lead-up to his title match against Masato Tanaka at ZERO1.

In the third match, Miyawaki defeated Mensore. A quick match that propels “The Sunshine Hero” to the NOAH Jr. Grand Prix a few weeks away. It could be a significant moment for Miyawaki. In the fourth match, Hank and Tank defeated Los Golpeadores. An entertaining match in which the former NXT Tag Team Champions defeated the former GHC Jr. Tag Team Champions. Will we see any of them face Bane for the GHC National Championship?

In the fifth match, TEAM 2000X defeated the combined team of Marufuji, Kenoh and Odashima. Kitamiya begins to recover after losing his title match against Kenta in Ryogoku. However, it seems that Marufuji and Kenoh have their eyes set on Kitamiya and Sugiura’s GHC Tag Team Championships. At NOAH The New Year 2025, Marufuji and Sugiura lost the championships to Jack Morris and Omos, so it wouldn’t be unreasonable to see a continuation of the story between Marufuji, Sugiura and TEAM 2000X in the 2026 edition.

In the sixth match, Inamura defeated Kondo. It was an entertaining bout in which “Mr. Smack Daddy” returned to Saitama, where he trained during his years as a trainee at NOAH, and defeated Kondo, one of his former coaches and current Marigold coach. Inamura began to gain momentum leading up to his title match against Kenta in November.

In the main event, Kenta, Hayata, Endo, and Sasaki defeated All Rebellion. It was an entertaining and dynamic fight in which Kenta’s team ultimately prevailed. It seems that NOAH is planning to keep Kiyomiya in the GHC Heavyweight Championship orbit. Whether it’s Kenta or Inamura, one of the two could receive Kiyomiya’s challenge for Nippon Budokan soon.
