Katsuhiko Nakajima: “There’s No Point in Appearing in the Tag League”

Katsuhiko Nakajima’s entry in the World’s Strongest Tag Determination League is on hold thanks to Hokuto Omori.

The Triple Crown Champion Katsuhiko Nakajima announced his entry in the World’s Strongest Tag Determination League after winning the belt against Yuma Aoyagi. Nakajima wanted to participate without a partner, but All Japan Pro Wrestling decided he had to have an ally in this league. Hokuto Omori was the chosen one to team up with Nakajima, but the former GHC Heavyweight Champion wanted nothing to do with Omori and even teased leaving the Tag League.

Nakajima’s participation in the Tag League was always riddled with mystery. Before their big match, Aoyagi suggested Nakajima team up with Kento Miyahara. That team couldn’t be done thanks to Miyahara’s challenge for the Triple Crown Nakajima is holding, but now he’s not happy to team up with Omori. And if that’s not enough, their first opponents would be Suwama and the always controversial Hideki Suzuki, who has some issues unresolved with the former Pro Wrestling NOAH member.

Despite Omori’s excitement about forming a team with Nakajima, something he wanted to do for a long time based on this report from Tokyo Sports, the Triple Crown champion is not thrilled nor interested in Omori or the Tag League for that matter, and he even wanted to go solo. All Japan announced this tag team without asking Nakajima, that’s true, but at the same time, even if you’re the top champion, you can’t just go into this Tag League and fight every team in a 2v1 scenario. Will Nakajima forfeit the Tag League, or will he accept Omori’s help and go out to win the whole shebang?
