Jon Moxley Defeats Shota Umino and Awaits Evil

New Japan Pro Wrestling presented their last event in the United States, the name of Resurgence, and live from the Toyota Arena. The New Japan fans were treated with a glimpse of the future and present of the company, as the IWGP World Champion Jon Moxley successfully defeated Shota Umino and added another Musketeer to the list with Ren Narita. Moxley’s celebration was cut short though, because EVIL and the House of Torture appeared from behind and attacked the champion, with the leader proclaiming himself as the next challenger.

The match between Moxley and Umino was considered a classic by many New Japan fans in the West, who went to attend such a spectacle and were shocked by EVIL’s sudden appearance. The former IWGP Heavyweight Champion named himself not only as the next champion but the real president of the company, gaining a lot of boos from the crowd who were not happy to see him at all. After the match, Moxley went backstage and declared he was going to take H.O.T. out of NJPW for good and end their run dooming New Japan once and for all. It seems like the next challenger is going to be the House of Torture’s leader, and who knows if any other member from the group will be on the line for Moxley’s belt too.
