Sareee realized her dream on June 21st as she became the fifth IWGP Women’s Champion when she defeated Syuri at “STARDOM THE CONVERSION 2025”.
Today, Sareee took her IWGP Women’s Title and respectfully visited the gravesite of the legendary Antonio Inoki. Inoki created the IWGP with the idea of determining the strongest professional wrestler in the world. Sareee wanted to report back to Inoki on her achievement of winning the coveted title now in her possession.
Sareee posted on X about her visit to Inoki’s grave.
From Sareee:
“I went to Inoki’s grave. I was able to make a proper report wearing the IWGP Women’s belt. I will continue to fight with pride. Please keep watching.”
In addition, Sareee spoke with reporters during her visit and stated she is ready to accept challenges from anyone.
From Sareee:
“I want to keep moving forward more and more. This belt isn’t something I just want to protect—I really want to move forward with it. I want to take on all sorts of challenges with this belt. So, of course, I’ll accept challenges from anyone, anywhere. I won’t run or hide. No matter when or who it is, I’m ready to accept anyone’s challenge.” (English quote translation courtesy of meraWRESTLING)
Sareee stated back at the beginning of 2025 that her number one goal was to win the IWGP Women’s Title. Now that she has that accomplished, it will be interesting to see who will be the first to issue a challenge to Sareee. The new IWGP Women’s Champion is waiting for that moment.
