MIRAI is experiencing a great moment in her career after joining the ranks of Michinoku Pro Wrestling. Her first few months as a member of the organization have allowed her to have exciting matches, many of them against opponents for the first time.
I had the opportunity to interview MIRAI during the last week of December of 2025. The topics covered include some recent key matches including Mayu Iwatani, Tomoka Inaba, Jinsei Shinzaki, TAKA Michinoku, AKARI and future matches like Azusa Inaba, Sareee, Chanyota, and much more.

Monthly Puroresu: How were your first few months of training at the Michinoku Pro Wrestling Dojo?
MIRAI: Well, I have been training a lot while getting completely trashed by the male wrestlers. It’s hard.
Monthly Puroresu: How was the match with Mayu Iwatani?
MIRAI: Well, as for the match, I can really see why they call her an icon. She’s strong, and, how should I put it, she has a big presence. It’s really frustrating that she was so impressive, but that match gave me the opportunity to join Michinoku Pro Wrestling, so I’m very grateful for that.
Monthly Puroresu: What do you think of her as a wrestler?
MIRAI: About Mayu?
Monthly Puroresu: Yes.
MIRAI: Well. Strong. Big presence. Cool. But cute. That’s it. An icon. She’s an icon, but I don’t want to lose. I’m currently 1-1 with Mayu in singles matches, so I’ll beat her the next time we compete.

Monthly Puroresu: How was the match with Tomoka Inaba?
MIRAI: Well, I’d been saying we should do a singles match ever since before my debut, but we’d never been able to have a singles match until now, so this one finally came true, and, well, I was really happy to fight and had a lot of fun, but I think the result might have been cruel to Tomoka. But, I wanted to fight Tomoka and learn more about the place she has protected, so I decided to challenge for the belt, and I have no intention of ending my fight with Tomoka here, so I want to continue standing opposite her, and I hope to stand next to her one day.
Monthly Puroresu: How was the match with Jinsei Shinzaki?
MIRAI: He was like a wall. He really was like a wall, and no matter what I did, he wouldn’t fall. Yeah. I really felt like I was made to realize how strong and big he is. Also, well, it ended in a 15-minute draw, but looking back on that match, and watching videos, it felt like he was judging my current level of ability during the match, bringing it out and communicating it to the audience. So, there were a lot of moves that Jinsei didn’t use, and I feel like he didn’t really see me as an opponent, so that’s frustrating, and so the next time we fight, I want to improve my power and ability so that he can see me as a proper opponent.
Monthly Puroresu: How was the tag team match in SSPW?
MIRAI: Strong? That’s right. I never thought the day would come when I’d fight Jaguar, but since I was fighting her, I gave it my all. The match was set up like a battle between veterans and young wrestlers, and I was on the young side. I felt like I had to break out of the young category, and I think the three of us felt that way, so I was on the team. So, I’m really disappointed that I couldn’t get a result, but we have a match against Sareee on January 1st. I haven’t settled my score with NØRI, but standing next to her made me feel like, ‘Oh, I’d like to try fighting next to her a little longer,’ so I think it was a match that will lead to the next one.
Monthly Puroresu: How was your match with AKARI?
MIRAI: I’ve always wanted to fight AKARI. Well, I happened to see AKARI ‘s match on social media, and from there I thought, wow, this wrestler is amazing, this wrestler is interesting, so I just followed her videos on social media. But then I joined Michinoku Pro Wrestling and got the opportunity to compete against AKARI, and finally I got to have a singles match with her. I think she’s just as interesting as I thought she would be. It would be fun to do a singles match again, and AKARI said she’d like to stand next to me, so I think it would be fun to do a tag match as well.

Monthly Puroresu: How was your match with TAKA Michinoku?
MIRAI: Well, his arm attacks were amazing. Even watching the video is so educational, I feel like I was being controlled like a doll, but being the first woman to be able to receive the Michinoku Driver from him during the match, well, I’m disappointed, happy, and disappointed at the same time. Yes. But I’m so disappointed, so I want to get revenge.
Monthly Puroresu: You mentioned the wrestlers you’d like to face, and Syuri herself has publicly stated her desire for this match. What would be your ideal scenario?
MIRAI: Ideal scenario. Hmm. The red belt was on the line the last time I wrestled, so the next time we wrestle, it’d be in a title match at a big venue. I’d love to have a match with Syuri for a belt again.
Monthly Puroresu: What are your hobbies?
MIRAI: Hobbies. My hobby is, well, pro wrestling. Haha. I’m really crazy about pro wrestling, so I watch it all the time. Yes. I like pro wrestling, but if I had to choose, I also play a little darts and like taking baths.
Monthly Puroresu: What are your expectations for your match with Azusa Inaba?
MIRAI: There’s enthusiasm for the match with Azusa. Yes. That’s right. It’s a title match, so I don’t want to lose. Well, I beat Tomoka the other day and challenged for the belt, but Azusa has also beaten Tomoka, so I think Azusa is the strongest woman in JTO, so I want to beat her and take the belt.

Monthly Puroresu: What are your expectations, Chanyota?
MIRAI: I previously had a singles match with Chanyota and we went head-to-head. It was really painful, but she was really strong, and it was fun. But the final match ended outside the ring, so I feel like we both ended up with an unfinished performance, so this time I’m going to settle it properly. I want to win with power.
Monthly Puroresu: Are you looking forward to your match against The Great Sasuke?
MIRAI: Well, you know. Even watching Sasuke’s match at Great Space War in Korakuen, he was so amazing, doing things that normal people can’t do, it was truly incredible. But I’m in a position where I’m willing to fight all the wrestlers from that affiliation, so I think the day will come when I’ll fight Sasuke. I always thought that time would come, but I’m surprised it’s come so soon. I’m sure there’s a chance, a place where I can win, so I’ll study it thoroughly until the day of the match and take on the challenge.
Monthly Puroresu: January 1st. Your match with Sareee. About your match with Sareee on January 1st…
MIRAI: Well… Of course, I know that Sareee is strong. But I think from my experiences so far that my fighting style and Sareee’s are different, and January 1st is the start of 2026, so I’ll stick to my own fighting style and win to get off to a good start. Also, this tournament is Otani’s Aid, so I think there’s something I can convey to him through my fight, so I want to make it that kind of match.
Monthly Puroresu: Finally, please give a message to your fans.
MIRAI: Yes. I’m now a member of Michinoku Pro Wrestling. My name is MIRAI. Thank you everyone for your continued support. I’d like to continue competing in all kinds of places and bring you all my heartfelt fights, so please continue to support me.
