DDT took place on Day 2 of Wrestle Peter Pan 2025, their big summer event. The card featured several championship matches, some returns. The card included the return of Hiroshi Tanahashi who faced Danshoku Dieno. The main event was a match between Kazusada Higuchi and Yuki Ueno for the KO-D Openweight Championship.

  1. Ilusion, Kazuma Sumi, Munetatsu Nakamura & Yuya Koroku defeat Daichi Sato, Hinata Kasai, Rukiya & To-y
  2. Akito, Jun Akiyama & Super Sasadango Machine defeat Antonio Honda, KANON & Kazuki Hirata
  3. Schadenfreude International (Chris Brookes & Takeshi Masada) defeat DAMNATION T.A (Hideki Okatani & MJ Paul) and Harimao (Naomi Yoshimura & Yuki Ishida)
  4. KO-D Tag Team Championship: The Apex (Yuki Iino & Yukio Naya) (c) defeat HARASHIMA & Shinya Aoki

  6. Hiroshi Tanahashi defeats Danshoku Dino
  7. KO-D Openweight Championship: Yuki Ueno defeats Kazusada Higuchi (c)
  8. KO-D Openweight Championship: Kazuki Hirata defeats Yuki Ueno (c)

In the first match, Ilusion, Sumi, Nakamura, and Koroku defeated Sato, Kasai, Rukiya, and To-y. It was a fast-paced match in which the young DDT wrestlers showcased their skills. In the second match, Akito, Akiyama, and Sasadango defeated Honda, KANON, and Hirata. It was an entertaining match that offered seriousness despite the comedy. Honda and Hirata on the same team is always fun.

In the third match, Brookes and Masada defeated DAMNATION T.A and Harimao. It was an entertaining match. The Schadenfreude International team overcame their loss to TMDK the night before. Brookes and Masada are beginning to gain momentum heading into Ultimate Party 2025. In the fourth match, The Apex defeated HARASHIMA and Aoki to retain the Tag Team Championships. A good match and consecutive defense for Iina and Naya. After the match, young rivals To-y and Koroku challenged the champions to a title match in September.

In the fifth match, Suzuki defeated MAO to retain the Universal Championship. A good match in which Suzuki showed he’s more relevant than ever. MAO came very close but couldn’t overcome the Gotch Style Piledriver. A match in which MAO showed how much he has studied Suzuki. After the match, Masada challenged Suzuki to a title match in September. In the sixth match, Tanahashi defeated Dieno. An entertaining match in which the crowd fully supported the DDT wrestler. It was a very Dieno-style match, and it was refreshing to see Tanahashi play along. There was groping and kissing included. After the match, the two embraced, and Tanahashi raised Dieno’s arm in a sign of respect, which was greatly appreciated by DDT fans.

In the main event, Ueno defeated Higuchi to win the KO-D Championship. A good match in which Ueno showed his fighting spirit and refused to be defeated by Higuchi’s intensity. Higuchi came very close to retaining his title again, as he had done the night before against Akiyama, but couldn’t break the count near the 20-minute mark. After the match, Hirata appeared and redeemed his guaranteed opportunity to fight for the championship. After almost three minutes, and with Ueno already fatigued from the fight with Higuchi, he managed to win by three count, unleashing a rousing crowd in Korakuen Hall. The celebration included the entire DDT roster that participated in the show and Tanahashi, who congratulated Hirata on his victory.
