The All Japan Pro-Wrestling “RAISING AN ARMY MEMORIAL SERIES 2026” tour landed at the Sunrec Kitakami on Oct. 12th as 415 fans were on hand for the event.

The featured contest saw the AJPW TV Six Man Tag Team Champions Ryuki Honda, Kuma Arashi & Seigo Tachibana put their titles on the line against Hideki Suzuki, Masayuki Kono & Shota Kofuji.

Ryuki Honda, Kuma Arashi & Seigo Tachibana won the AJPW TV Six Man Tag Team Titles back on June 7th when they defeated Hideki Suzuki, Suwama & Dan Tamura. They were making their second defense of the titles on Oct. 12th.

Hideki Suzuki went into this match looking for some revenge on Honda, Arashi & Tachibana as they took belts from him, Suwama & Tamura back in June and was hoping his new partners, Kono & Kofuji would be enough to help him achieve his goal.

Both teams knew going into the bout that it was going to be a tough one for all involved. As the match progressed, Honda, Arashi & Tachibana zeroed in on Kofuji as they may have perceived him as the weak link of their trio of challenges. Kofuji was in trouble as he was being worked over and he very nearly submitted to a Honda Half-Crab hold but was able to make it to the ropes for the break. Kofuji was eventually able to mount a comeback, survived the onslaught and tagged in Kono as the match continued.

The remainder of the bout featured both teams battling each other with a sense of urgency as they each wanted to walk out the ring with the belts in tow. Towards the end of the bout, Arashi just about defeated Suzuki on three occaisions with a Torture Rack that almost got a submission then with a body press and massive clothesline that resulted in two near falls.

Suzuki held on and turned the tables on Arashi. First he suplexed Arashi off the top turnbuckle for a near fall of his own then locked on an Abdominal Stretch. Suzuki took the hold to the ground and forced Arashi to submit and won his team the AJPW TV Six Man Tag Team Titles.

Hideki Suzuki must have a sense of satisfaction after winning the titles for him, Kofuji & Kono after Honda, Arashi & Tachibana took the belts from him, Suwama & Tamura back in June.

This title is the first one Shota Kofuji has won in his young career and from the look of the post-match pictures, he is very proud to have possession of his first championship.

Kofuji issued a statement on X to celebrate his first championship win and vowed to carry on the passion of the AJPW TV Six Man Tag Team Titles.

From Shota Kofuji:

“Thank you so much to everyone who came out in such large numbers to the Kitakami Tournament today. In the All Japan Pro Wrestling TV-sanctioned 6-man tag team match, I’ve become the new champion! My first title ever!! I will carry on the passion for the title that the previous champions had as the undisputed champion.” (Translated via Deepl.com)

All Suzuki, Kono & Kofuji can do now is celebrate and wait to see which trio of combatants will step up to be their first challengers.
