Hazuki Scolds Fuwa-chan After Loss at STARDOM Nighter in Korakuen Hall

By Noah Leatherland

As STARDOM hurtles towards ALL STAR GRAND QUEENDOM in Yokohama Arena, tensions are rising as the card takes shape. While rivals were building hostility against each other, Hazuki lost her cool with her protege, Fuwa-chan.

At STARDOM Nighter in Korakuen Hall, Hazuki and Fuwa-chan teamed with Maki Itoh in trios action. They faced off with Saori Anou, Natsupoi and Yuna Mizumori. Fuwa-chan and Anou are set to face each other at ALL STAR GRAND QUEENDOM. When Fuwa-chan got the upper hand in this preliminary tag, she perhaps enjoyed the moment a little too much.

Anou would ultimately score the pin on Fuwa-chan, picking up an important win on the road to the Yokohama Arena. Speaking after the match, Anou was not feeling very impressed with her opponent:

Hey, Fuwa-chan. Getting a bit too big for your boots, are you? I thought this was going to be fun. Is this all you’ve got?

After that, Hazuki got on the microphone to add her own thoughts on Fuwa-chan’s actions in the match:

Aren’t you getting a bit too carried away? If you’re going to call yourself my student, don’t let me down. I’ve got nothing against a cheerful personality, but messing around in the ring is a step too far. That’s not what I’ve taught you. Don’t you dare disrespect pro-wrestling!

Hazuki and Anou were not the only one’s with something to say. Starlight Kid appeared, and challenged Fuwa-chan to a match, stating:

Master Hazuki… are you actually managing to train her properly? Fuwa-chan… in the ring, results are everything. So, let me give you a proper wake-up call before the Yokohama Arena show!

Backstage, Kid expanded on her opinion on Fuwa-chan heading into STARDOM ALL STAR GRAND QUEENDOM:

Just think how incredible it is that a rookie like Fuwa-chan is getting a singles match on the big stage at Yokohama Arena. After all, I haven’t even had my match scheduled yet! Having a cheerful persona is certainly an asset, but you can’t rely on that alone. In the ring, results are everything… I want to see just how serious she is about this big event. I intend to give her a proper wake-up call before Yokohama Arena. I’ll make sure she fully understands just how tough I can be.

Having received such a public scolding, Fuwa-chan apologised to Hazuki and the crowd on the microphone, before adding onto it more in her backstage comments:

I’d confused expressing my character with just messing about. Hazuki, and everyone in the audience, I’m so sorry. I see my match against Kid in three days’ time as a chance to properly show my true passion for pro-wrestling and make everyone happy again, so I’ll give it my all.

After all that tough love, Hazuki softened a little bit sat beside Fuwa-chan:

I spoke harshly because I thought it wouldn’t get through unless I said it like that in the ring, but I only said it because Fuwa-chan matters to me. We both have to win at Yokohama Arena, don’t we? Be lively when you need to be, and stay focused when you need to. Let’s bring out more of what makes Fuwa-chan, Fuwa-chan.

Fuwa-chan and Starlight Kid will face off on April 11th.

Amidst the drama surrounding Fuwa-chan, the fallout of the trios match also saw some heated scenes between Natsupoi and Maki Itoh. Also set to collide in a singles match at STARDOM ALL STAR GRAND QUEENDOM, Natsupoi had previously torn up Itoh’s custom Kawaii of Kawaii title. Itoh had made more crafts, only for them to also face the wrath of Natsupoi:

Tensions were rising elsewhere on the card too. Maika and HANAKO are set to team up and take on Suzu Suzuki and Rina Yamashita at Yokohama Arena. Maika suggested that perhaps this match should be contested under hardcore rules.

Also on the card were the semi-finals of the Rookie of STARDOM tournament. In the first, Ema Maishima defeated Yuria Hime. Then, Kikyo Furusawa beat Akira Kurogane. Maishima will face Furusawa in the finals, with the winner getting a shot at Ranna Yagami and the Future of Stardom title.
