Full Results For NJPW G1 Climax Night 8 Plus Updated Standings

New Japan Pro-Wrestling held its eighth night of G1 Climax 35 tournament action on July 30th at the Yamato University Yamato Arena.

The Night 8 event featured four Block B tournament matches.

The main event saw a battle between the current IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Zack Sabre Jr. and KONOSUKE TAKESHITA. In a bout that lasted over twenty two minutes, Sabre Jr. was able to prevail over TAKESHITA with a Dojime Sleeper Hold. With the victory, Sabre Jr. raised his Block B point total to six.

In the co-feature, Shingo Takagi earned his fourth point of the tournament as he defeated Shota Umino. Takagi’s Burning Dragon proved to be too much for Umino who remains at six points in the G1 Climax 35.

• Ryohei Oiwa & Hartley Jackson defeat “King of Darkness” EVIL & Dick Togo (5:57) after an arc clutch of Oiwa against Togo.
• Oleg Boltin & Toru Yano defeat David Finlay & Gedo (6:23) after a schoolboy by Yano against Gedo.
• G1 Climax – Block B: Great-O-Khan [8] defeats El Phantasmo [4] (14:50) with an Avalanche-Style Eliminator.
• G1 Climax – Block B: Drilla Moloney [8] defeats Ren Narita [8] (9:52) with the Drilla Killa.
• G1 Climax – Block B: Shingo Takagi [4] defeats Shota Umino [4] (22:45) with the Burning Dragon.
• G1 Climax – Block B: Zack Sabre Jr. [6] defeats KONOSUKE TAKESHITA [6] (22:37) with a Dojime Sleeper Hold.
