The New Japan Pro-Wrestling G1 Climax 35 is in full swing as Night 6 of the prestigious tournament was held on July 26 at the Ota City General Gymnasium.
A total of 2,250 fans were in attendance as the Night 6 event featured four Block B matches. Originally, there was set to be five tournament matches but Gabe Kidd had to bow out of the G1 Climax 35 due to a knee injury. Drilla Moloney earned 2 pts via forfeit over Kidd.
The main event of Night 6 saw a battle between KONOSUKE TAKESHITA and Shingo Takagi. The two superstars waged war against each other in a match that saw numerous near falls. The end came at the 23:56 mark due to referee stoppage. Takagi passed out after be locked in a choke hold by TAKESHITA that prompted the referee to end the bout.
In another Block B tournament match that had the fans on the edge of their seats, Ren Narita defeated Shota Umino. The two had a back and forth encounter that came to an end following Narita’s Hell’s Guillotine on Umino which was enough for the pinfall victory.
Before the start of the event, NJPW held a tribute and 10 bell salute to the legendary Hulk Hogan who passed away on July 24th.

Night 7 of the G1 Climax 35 tournament is scheduled for July 27th at Port Messe Nagoya Exhibition Hall 1 in Nagoya and will feature five Block A matches.
