Full Results For NJPW G1 Climax 35 Night 14 Plus Updated Standings

On Aug. 8, New Japan Pro-Wrestling held its 14th night of G1 Climax 35 tournament matches as a crowd of 2,448 filled the Yokohama Budokan.

The featured bout of event saw Shota Umino taking on KONOSUKE TAKESHITA in a highly anticipated battle. With the block competition of the tournament winding down, earning the 2 points that goes to the winner was extremely crucial in this encounter as both Umino and TAKESHITA wanted to remain in playoff round contention.

As expected, the match was a hard fought one but in the end it was Umino who emerged victorious. Umino raised his G1 Block B point total to 10 while TAKESHITA remained at 10 points with the loss.

In other action, the current IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Zack Sabre Jr. defeated Drilla Moloney which placed him in sole possession of 1st place in the B Block with 12 points.

• Yota Tsuji & Daiki Nagai defeat Callum Newman & Jakob Austin Young (6:32) after the Gene Blaster of Tsuji against Young.
• “King of Darkness” EVIL & Dick Togo defeat Hiroshi Tanahashi & Katsuya Murashima (5:54) after a Scorpion Deathlock of EVIL against Murashima.
• Yuya Uemura & Tomoaki Honma defeat David Finlay & Gedo (5:26) after a cross armbreaker of Uemura against Gedo.
