Full Match Line-Up For NOAH “THE NEW YEAR 2026” On Jan. 1 at Nippon Budokan

On Jan. 1st 2026, Pro Wrestling NOAH will present its biggest event of the year NOAH “ THE NEW YEAR 2026” at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo.

The main event of NOAH “ THE NEW YEAR 2026” will be a massive GHC Heavyweight Title bout. The current champion Yoshiki Inamura will make his second defense of the title against former champion OZAWA.

OZAWA burst into a major player on the NOAH scene in 2025 and proved that he possesses megastar status. An injury in Sept. 2025 derailed his MVP year but he has recovered and hopes to regain the GHC Heavyweight Title he lost back in July 2025.

Yoshiki Inamura returned to NOAH in Oct. 2025 after spending a lengthy excursion in WWE NXT. Inamura won the GHC Heavyweight Title in Nov. 2025 when he defeated KENTA for the coveted championship.

At a recent contract signing, OZAWA poured water over the head of Inamura which led to Inamura shoving OZAWA as a near brawl ensued.

In a GHC Jr Heavyweight Title match, NJPW superstar Hiromu Takahashi will defend his title against AMAKUSA. This will be the third defense of the GHC Jr Heavyweight Title by Takahashi as he won the belt back in Sept. 2025. AMAKUSA will be looking to bring the GHC Jr Heavyweight Title back in possession of a NOAH wrestler. Should AMAKUSA win, he will enter into his third reign as the GHC Jr Heavyweight champion.

The GHC Tag Team Titles will be defended as the champions KENOH & Naomichi Marufuji will face the Los Tranquilos de Japon team of BUSHI and a mystery wrestler. There has been speculation that the mystery partner of BUSHI is Tetsuya Naito but that remains to be seen. KENOH has stated that he is going to beat the crap out of BUSHI and the mystery wrestler at NOAH “ THE NEW YEAR 2026”.

In other action, the GHC National Title will be on the line as the champion Dragon Bane defends the belt against Alpha Wolf in a brother vs. brother match.

The Good Brothers Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows continue their invasion of NOAH as they face Kaito Kiyomiya & Jack Morris in tag team action.
