Full Match Line-Up For NJPW Road to The New Beginning Night 1 On Jan. 19th At Korakuen Hall

On Jan. 19th, New Japan Pro-Wrestling returns to Korakuen Hall as they present Night 1 of the Road to The New Beginning tour.

The main event at NJPW Road to The New Beginning Night 1 will have the attention of the IWGP Tag Team Champions OSKAR & Yuto-Ice AKA Knockouts Brothers. Shota Umino & Yuya Uemura will face Tomohiro Ishii & Taichi with the winner to be named the #1 contenders for the IWGP Tag Team Titles.

OSKAR and Yuto-Ice defeated Ishii & Taichi for the IWGP Tag Team Titles back on Sept. 28th 2025 and the former champions are hoping for a chance at getting regaining the belts. Umino & Uemura have faced Knockout Brothers twice in the past and have been defeated both times.

All three teams came face to face on Jan. 5th at NJPW NEW YEAR DASH.

While Taichi & Ishii would like a rematch against OSKAR & Yuto-Ice and Umino & Uemura are hoping for a third match against Knockout Brothers, only one team will move forward to challenge the champions.

In other action, the NEVER Openweight Six Man Tag Team Titles will be on the line as the champions Zack Sabre Jr., Ryohei Oiwa & Hartley Jackson will defend their belts for the first time against Hirooki Goto, YOSHI-HASHI & Oleg Boltin.

The Young Lion Cup makes it return as the last tournament was held in 2019. The opening round matches for the Cup will take place on NJPW Road to The New Beginning Night 1. Masatora Yasuda will face Tatsuya Matsumoto while Daiki Nagai takes on Zane Jay in Young Lion Cup round one bouts.
