Full Line-Up of Matches For AJPW New Year Wars 2026 on Jan. 25th

On Jan. 25th, All Japan Pro-Wrestling will present it’s next big event “New Year Wars 2026” which is set to take place at Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall #4 in Chiba.

Kento Miyahara, who is in his seventh reign as the AJPW Triple Crown Champion, will make his fourth defense of the title in the main event against the seven foot tall Talos. Miyahara will face one of his toughest challengers in Talos who holds a considerable height and strength advantage over the champion.

Talos will be looking to become a double champion as he holds the AJPW World Tag Team Titles with Ren Ayabe as the Titans of Calamity.

Miyahara & Talos have competed in a number of preliminary bouts with Talos exhibiting his physical advantage over Miyahara.

Miyahara has vowed to defeat Talos by using his patented finisher the Shutdown Suplex. This will be a tall task, no pun intended, for Miyahara as he has attempted the Shutdown Suplex on Talos in preliminary bouts and has not had any luck successfully executing it.

Talos, in a recent interview with Monthly Puroresu stated, “He [Miyahara] talks about hitting his shutdown suplex when he can’t even get his hands around my torso.”

In a message for Miyahara, Talos indicated “My message to Kento is simple and hasn’t changed since Korakuen Hall. On January 25th at Makuhari Messe I plan to give the people of Japan the champion they deserve and take that belt from you.”

In another title bout, the AJPW World Jr. Heavyweight Champion Atsuki Aoyagi makes his fifth defense of his 3rd reign as he faces the challenge of Seigo Tachibana.

Tachibana is a former two time Gaora TV Champion and will be looking to win the AJPW World Jr Heavyweight Championship for the first time in his career. It won’t be an easy task as Atsuki Aoyagi is one of the best Jr. Heavyweights in the world and is at the top of his game.

In special singles bout, two super-heavyweights will do battle as Jun Saito takes on Cyrus.
