Four Big Matches Announced For BJW “BIG JAPAN 31 BEYOND THE SURVIVOR” April 29th Event At Yokohama Budokan

On April 29th, Big Japan Pro-Wrestling presents its biggest event of the year “BIG JAPAN 31 BEYOND THE SURVIVOR” which is set for the Yokohama Budokan. BJW has announced four big matches for “BIG JAPAN 31 BEYOND THE SURVIVOR” with three of them being championship bouts.

In the main event, the leader of Yosomono Daimonji So will make his sixth defense of the BJW World Heavyweight Championship against Kazumada Yoshida. Yoshida issued a challenge to Daimonji So on March 20 for his title at the BJW Korakuen Hall event which was accepted by the champion.

Yoshida received an title opportunity back in January against Daimonji So but was unsuccessful in capturing the BJW World Strong Heavyweight Title. He hopes to take full advantage of this second opportunity and dethrone the champion which is not going to be an easy task by any means.

In a recent interview with Monthly Puroresu, Daimonji So stated that Yoshida can’t beat him and that he will dominate his challenger when they meet again on April 29th:

From Daimonji So:

The situation hasn’t changed, but his growth is what Big Japan needs, so I do have high hopes for him. But he can’t beat me. If he’s the same as he was in January, I’ll defend the title 100%. If we have a normal match, I’ll defend it 100%. Whether he has what it takes to change that, well, I’ll just dominate him and end it.”

In another championship bout set for the Yokohama Budokan, Abdullah Kobayashi will defend his BJW Death Match Heavyweight Championship against former champion Minoru Fujita. Fujita last held the title over six years ago in Jan. 2021 and will be looking to wrap that belt around his waist once again. This will be Kobayashi’s third defense of his seventh reign as the BJW Death Match Heavyweight Champion.

The BJW Junior Heavyweight Title will be on the line as the current champion Kosuke Sato will defend the title against Tochigi Pro Wrestling star Satsuki Nagao. Nagao pinned Sato in a tag team bout on March 20th at Korakuen Hall which earned him a BJW Junior Heavyweight Title opportunity.

Sato has held the BJW Junior Heavyweight Title since May 5th 2025 and this will be his sixth defense of the championship.

In a huge tag team encounter, Yasufumi Nakanoue will team with super-heavyweight Ryota Hama as they face the Yosomono duo of Daichi Hashimoto & Hideyoshi Kamitani. This is expected to be a hard hitting bout between the four superstars.
