On October 1st, during an episode of CMLL Informa, the first match for the NJPW x CMLL Lucha Kingdom event at Arena Mexico on November 16th was announced.

It was revealed that current IWGP Jr. Tag Team Champions, El Desperado and Mistico, will go one on one in a rematch of their singles match back at NJPW Dominion back in June. El Desperado got the better of Mistico at Dominion, defeating his partner by submission. Like Desperado in their first match, Mistico will have home court advantage in their second singles match here in 2026.

More matches for Lucha Kingdom at Arena Mexico on November 16th will be announced in the coming weeks leading up to the event.
