Dangerous Tekkers Set to Reunite for NJPW World Tag League 2026

Just a few days ago, New Japan Pro-Wrestling announced the participants and blocks for its annual World Tag League, which is set to commence on November 23rd.

The one question left unanswered following the announcement was who would be competing alongside Taichi in B Block. In last year’s World Tag League, Taichi teamed with Satoshi Kojima, who this year is teaming with Shota Umino. With former partner Tomohiro Ishii out with injury, options were looking slim for Taichi, until an old friend answered the call.

Following his participation in Tatsumi Fujinami’s 55th anniversary match on November 6th, where he and Fujinami defeated Aaron Wolf and Tatsuya Matsumoto, ZSJ revealed that he would be stepping up as Taichi’s partner, reforming their Dangerous Tekkers tag team from their Suzuki-Gun days.

“I heard from Taichi. Mr. Ishii can’t compete in the Tag League because of an injury. Taichi is a very dear friend of mine. Taichi, it’s okay—I want to do this. Let’s form the Dangerous Tekkers one more time—OK.”

ZSJ and Taichi competed as the Dangerous Tekkers from 2018-2022, winning the IWGP Tag Team Championships on three occasions. This will be the duo’s first World Tag League together since 2021.

World Tag League will kick off for the Tekkers on November 24th in Fukushima, where they will take on Shota Umino and Satoshi Kojima in Block B’s opening night.
