Daisuke Sekimoto Takes On…….Ice Cream!!!

On July 19th, Daisuke Sekimoto teamed with Kengo Mashimo as the two challenged the AJPW World Tag Team Champion Jun & Rei Saito. The championship bout was the main event of AJPW’s SUMMER ACTION SERIES 2026 at a sold out Korakuen Hall.

The match was a hard fought bout between two powerhouse teams that kept the crowd on the edge of their seats. In the end it was Jun & Rei Saito that emerged victorious and retained their titles.

After the bout, Jun & Rei Saito and Daisuke Sekimoto & Kengo Mashimo came together and, in a show of respect, the four enjoyed an ice cream toast. Jun & Rei Saito and Daisuke Sekimoto & Kengo Mashimo happily ate their ice cream which was a fitting reward for the war they all had been through at Korakuen Hall.

Long after the show had concluded, Daisuke Sekimoto seemingly really enjoyed his in-ring ice cream treat as he was craving for more and couldn’t get the sweet treat off his mind.

In a post on X, Sekimoto applauded the Saito Brothers and admitted it was frustrating that he and Mashimo were defeated then showered the post-match ice cream treat with praise and acknowledged it was absolutely delicious. Sekimoto then revealed that he had more of that sweet ice cream delight on his way home from the venue.  He posted a very happy picture of himself as he was about to crush that ice cream cone into a strong-style submission.

The final word here is Daisuke Sekimoto, who spent the last 26 years as a pro-wrestling superstar, has earned the right to enjoy an ice cream cone without any guilt and he deserves many, many more. Enjoy Sekimoto-san!
