Big Japan Pro-Wrestling returns to Korakuen Hall on Feb. 22nd with another big event at the famed arena. There will be two championship matches scheduled for the show as BJW continues its push to draw 1,000 fans to Korakuen Hall.
The BJW World Strong Heavyweight Championship will be defended as the current champion Daimonji So will make his fourth defense against seven time BJW Death Match champion Ryuji Ito.
Ito has held every title within BJW except the BJW World Strong Heavyweight Title. This match will contested under Strong rules and not Death Match rules.

Ryuji Ito issued his challenge to Daimonji So for the BJW World Strong Heavyweight Title on Jan. 31st after Daimonji successfully defended the title against Kazumasa Yoshida.
Daimonji So told Monthly Puroresu back on Feb. 1st what he thought of being challenged by Ito:
From Daimonji So:
“It’s a strong heavyweight, not a deathmatch. No one knows that better than Ryuji Ito, right? So I’m sure he’ll take on the challenge with determination. There’s never been a strong heavyweight like Ryuji Ito before, right? Everyone’s excited to see what happens, and I’m excited too. It’s not going to be a simple outcome; will an outsider take over BJW, or will a BJW legend protect BJW? But I’ll extinguish the Deathmatch Dragon’s flames with my Black Rain. On February 22nd at Korakuen Hall, I’ll prove that I’m the strongest strong heavyweight champion in history.”
Daimonji So won the BJW World Strong Heavyweight Title back on Oct. 13th 2025 and has proven to be a dominant champion. Ryuji Ito hopes to end the reign of Daimonji So when the two meet on Feb. 22 at Korakuen Hall.
In another title bout, Abdullah Kobayashi will make his first defense of his seventh reign as the BJW Death Match Heavyweight Champion as he faces the challenge of Kazumi Kikuta. The match will feature 200 fluorescent light tubes hanging on all four sides of the ring.

In addition, Yuya Aoki is set to have his final singles bout for BJW as he will face Ryuma Sekimo. Aoki, who has been with BJW since 2016 and has been one of their top stars for many years, made the decision to depart the promotion and begin competing as a freelancer at the end of February.
