Big Japan Pro-Wrestling has been seeing an rise in attendance lately and the promotion will return to the famed Korakuen Hall on Jan. 31st for their next big event.
The current BJW World Strong Heavyweight Champion Daimonji So will defend his title against the challenge of Kazumasa Yoshida in what is expected to be a grudge match.
Back on Jan. 2, Yoshida teamed with Daichi Hashimoto & Hideyoshi Kamitani as they faced the Yosomono trio of Daimonji So, Minoru Fujita & Jacob Crane. During the course of the match, Hashimoto turned on Yoshida as he and Kamitani joined forces with Yosomono.
Yoshida will be looking for revenge in the form of dethroning Daimonji for BJW’s top championship. With Yosomono now consisting of Daimonji So, Minoru Fujita, Jacob Crane, Daichi Hashimoto & Hideyoshi Kamitani, the odds appear to be stacked against Yoshida but he remains determined to take the BJW World Strong Heavyweight Championship from Daimonji So.
Yoshida took to X and indicated that he has to take the belt from Daimonji.
From Kazumasa Yoshida:
“The reason I want that belt now isn’t just because I want to take it from that outsider leader, Daimonji So. Well, you’ll find out soon enough. On top of that, I’ve made up my mind that I have to do it.”
Daimonji So also took to X with a threatening message aimed at Yoshida:
From Daimonji So:
“Daimonji So presents #bjw member Kazumasa Yoshida with “Despair”. Fans of Big Japan Pro-Wrestling, please cheer on Kazumasa Yoshida with all your might. I’ll show you the worst possible outcome.”
In addition, there will be a BJW Tag Team Title match as Toru Sugiura & Kazumi Kikuta make their first defense of their belts against Abdullah Kobayashi & Daiju Wakamatsu in a Fluorescent Light Tubes Death Match.
