Chi Chi Wins The Pro-Wrestling EVO Evolution Strong Women’s Championship

Pro-Wrestling Evolution held it’s latest event Evolution VOL.42 on Jan. 7th at Shin-Kiba 1st RING in Tokyo as young star Chi Chi has gotten her 2026 campaign off to fast start by winning championship gold.

The main event saw MICHIKO defending her Evolution Strong Women’s Title against Chi Chi. This was the second defense of the Evolution Strong Women’s Championship by MICHIKO which she won back on Nov. 3rd 2025 when she defeated ZONES.

Unfortunately, MICHIKO’s second defense was her last one as Chi Chi dethroned MICHIKO to become the new champion. The bout ended at the 17:10 mark as Chi Chi scored a pinfall over MICHIKO after hitting an Uranage and took possession of the Evolution Strong Women’s Championship belt.

This is the second singles title in the young career of Chi Chi as she is a former Sendai Girls Junior Champion.

Following her win, the new champion addressed he crowd at Shin-Kiba 1st RING.

From Chi Chi:

“Now that I’ve won this belt, I’ve been thinking I’d like to defend it against that wrestler from the industry’s biggest promotion, or that wrestler from the promotion I’m almost always competing in who trains incredibly hard, or even that super big star from overseas. Chi Chi took to X after her championship victory and posted these comments:

In other action, Suwama & Daimonji So defeated Shuji Ishikawa & Fuminori Abe in tag team action after Suwama’s Manriki Sleeper against Abe.
