The hope for the former Wonder of Stardom champion is that she can win the whole thing to finally settle her score with Tam Nakano once and for all in a World of Stardom title match, yet there is a small chance that the two could meet even earlier in the finals of STARDOM’s yearly round robin tournament.
But for Club Venus’ leader to get to that point, she has to defeat Goddess of Stardom champion Saori Anou, and hope that Maika and current Wonder of Stardom champion MIRAI go to a draw.
On the Red Stars block, things are much more complicated, with many results dependant on Hazuki spoiling Natsuko Tora on the last day:
-Natsuko Tora has to only win or draw against Hazuki to advance to the finals.
-Tam Nakano needs Hazuki to beat Tora, then Nakano herself has to win against Natsupoi to advance to the finals.
-If Hazuki beats Tora, but then Tam and Natsupoi draw or Natsupoi wins, then Suzu Suzuki can be in the finals if Ami Sohrei beats Syuri.
-If Hazuki beats Tora, Natsupoi beats or draws with Tam, then all Syuri has to do is beat Ami Sohrei to advance to the finals.
Shirakawa becomes an underdog heading in to the finals, as she mostly has losing records for almost every potential Red Stars finalist:
-She went 0-1 against Suzu Suzuki from last year’s 5★STAR; their only singles match so far.
-Tam Nakano holds all wins against Shirakawa in head-to-head matches, in 2020, 2021 and this year’s Double Crown match for the Red Belt and the White Belt.
-Syuri vs. Mina Shirakawa and Natsuko Tora vs. Mina Shirakawa will be first-time matchups if they either advance to the finals alongside Shirakawa.
The Venus may have a relatively easy cruise heading into the finals – but her work will be cut out for her no matter who she finds herself on the opposite side of the squared circle to, if she’s able to get herself into this year’s finals.
