BUSHI Loses Fifth BOSJ Match in a Row

By: J. Curbelo

BUSHI took his fifth loss in the 30th Best of the Super Juniors torunament, this time against Kevin Knight in the B block. After four consecutive losses, el Ingobernable was ready to pick up some steam and even managed to withstand Knight’s surprise attack and take control of the match early on.

Unfortunately, Knight’s strength and techniques eventually led him to regain momentum with a dropkick that flipped the control in favor of him. BUSHI was cornered and manhandled until a spike DDT completely took him down for good, giving Kevin Knight the win and leaving the masked warrior in perpetual failure. With this defeat, BUSHI is out of contention for the tournament’s advanced rounds.

Joining Ryusuke Taguchi from the A block, BUSHI does not want to leave the tournament with a completely neutral record. The former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion expressed that no tournament has felt this heavy, and he’ll keep working for the rest of his official matches to get a win.

With most of his losses coming from foreigner competitors, could BUSHI need more exposure to what the rest of the world has to offer in order to keep up with them?
