The final night of block competition in the NJPW Super Jr. Tag League is in the books. B Block is now complete and now that the dust has settled, BULLET CLUB representatives Taiji Ishimori and Robbie X are heading to the finals in Gifu.
At the start of the night, three teams were still mathematically in contention to advance from B Block. KUSHIDA and Yuki Yoshioka were still eligible due to a potential tie breaker over BULLET CLUB if they both secured 2 points. However, KUSHIDA and Yoshioka’s hopes were squashed with a loss to El Desperado and KUUKAI.
This meant that that BULLET CLUB could walk into the main event with only one team to worry about. The Ichiban Sweet Boys, Robbie Eagles and Kosei Fujita, started the night on 8 points with a perfect 4-0 record. However, Ishimori and X ruined that spotless record, claiming the victory, drawing on points at the top of B Block, but advancing due to the tie breaker. Ishimori and X will face the reigning IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team champions DOUKI and SHO in the tournament finals on November 2nd.
