BREAKING – Seigo Tachibana Wins The AJPW World Jr Heavyweight Title

There is a new All Japan Pro-Wrestling World Jr Heavyweight Champion.

Seigo Tachibana defeated Atsuki Aoyagi for the title at today’s AJPW New Year’s Wars 2026 in Chiba. The two engaged in a thriller of a bout that included many near falls but in the end it was Tachibana who was able to score a pinfall over Aoyagi to win the coveted title.

Aoyagi was making his fourth defense of his third reign as the top AJPW Jr Heavyweight against Tachibana.

This is the first time Tachibana has held the AJPW World Jr. Heavyweight Title. He had held the GAORA TV Championship twice back in 2024.
