Bari Bari Bombers win Moneyball Tournament

Bari Bari Bombers have won this year’s Moneyball Tournament which concluded at STARDOM’s Gold Rush show today. The tournament is a one-night bracket tournament where the winners will get a “moneyball” full of money that they can spend however they want. However, this year it was concealed in a treasure chest for safety, a key needed to be found to unlock it, and a button was required to lower the box with the money inside. Last year’s winners were Hazuki, Koguma and Mayu Iwatani.

This year, four teams were entered into the tournament. Hazuki, Hanan and Saya Iida advanced against Konami, HANAKO and Ami Sohrei in the first match of the night, whilst Bari Bari Bombers defeated Oedo-Tai (Natsuko Tora, Momo Watanabe, Ruaka) to advance to the finals for the second year in a row. Hanan replaced the injured Mayu Iwatani, whilst HANAKO substituted for Saki Kashima, who is currently undergoing neck treatment and was absent from today’s PPV.

After the match, Thekla challenged Mei Seira for the High-Speed Championship.
