AZM and Saya Kamitani Face-Off On Sept. 13th In A Preliminary Battle At STARDOM IN NIIGATA-SANJO 2025

On Sept. 27th,  The World of STARDOM Champion Saya Kamitani will face the NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion AZM in a highly anticipated double title match-up at Korakuen Hall.

STARDOM held it’s STARDOM IN NIIGATA-SANJO 2025 event as the fans in attendance at the Sanjo City Public Welfare Hall and everyone watching on STARDOM World were treated to a prelude to the double title bout between Kamitani and AZM. The two superstars were on opposite sides of a six woman tag team match. AZM teamed with her NEO GENESIS faction members Starlight Kid and MIyu Amasaki as they faced the H.A.T.E. unit of Kamitani, Momo Watanabe & Konami.

All eyes were on AZM and Kamitani in this encounter and the two did not disappoint. The two faced off prior to the start of that match only to have H.A.T.E. attack NEO GENESIS to kick off the bout.

AZM and Kamitani battled each other tooth and nail, each trying to gain superiority over the other. They showed the fans exactly what can be expected when the two meet in their upcoming double title bout. At one point when the two were outside the ring, Kamitani hit AZM with a poster that featured Sareee and Syuri on it.

The wild match ended in a double count-out at the 14:07 mark as the referee completed his 20 count with none of the competitors returning to the ring. Kamitani and AZM got into a heated verbal exchange which led to both factions to continue the battle until they disappeared behind the curtain.

From Saya Kamitani:

“September 27th, Korakuen Hall. I’m gonna take that rotten purple belt off you and make you cry!”

From AZM:

“If you think you can make me cry, then go ahead and try!”

In the match that was billed as the main event, Hanan, Saya Iida, Bea Priestley, Momo Kohgo & Yuria Hime defeated Natsupoi, Saori Anou, Yuna Mizumori, Aya Sakura & Sayaka Kurura.

• Waka Tsukiyama, HANAKO & Rian defeated Saki Kashima, Hina & Kiyoka Kotatsu (11:59) after an inside cradle by Tsukiyama against Kashima.
• Starlight Kid, AZM & Miyu Amasaki vs. Saya Kamitani, Momo Watanabe & Konami – Double Countout (14:07).
• Hanan, Saya Iida, Bea Priestley, Momo Kohgo & Yuria Hime defeated Natsupoi, Saori Anou, Yuna Mizumori, Aya Sakura & Sayaka Kurura (14:00) after a Vertical Drop Brainbuster by Iida against Kurara.
