Aya Sakura Reveals She Was Once Jealous Of Her Current Tag Team Partner Sayaka Kurara

The Cosmic Angels duo of Aya Sakura & Sayaka Kurara have been on a tremendous roll as of late.

Back on Oct 30th, Sakura & Kurara challenged the New Blood Tag Team Champions HANAKO & Waka Tsukiyama. HANAKO & Tsukiyama had held the belts 308 days up until that point but their reign ended as Sakura & Kurara dethroned the Empress neXus Venus team to become the new champions.

On November 7th, the new titleholders, Sakura & Kurara A.K.A Sakurara, competed in their first block match of the 15th Goddesses of STARDOM Tag League Tournament in which they were participants.

Despite losing their first two tournament bouts, Sakura & Kurara roared back and surprised everyone making it to the finals. They defeated the current Goddesses of STARDOM Champions Natsuko Tora & Ruaka to win the entire tag league tournament.

As the duo are enjoying incredible success and are working together as a great team, Aya Sakura has revealed that she once harboured feelings of jealousy towards Sayaka Kurara.

Sakura spoke with Tokyo Sports and mentioned the time when her feelings of jealousy had occurred towards her current tag team partner.

From Aya Sakura:

“I was jealous that Kurara was active and getting attention while I was out injured. Because of that, I had this stubborn feeling of ‘I was here first,’ so even when we teamed up back then, we couldn’t coordinate well.”

Regardless of the past feelings, Aya Sakura & Sayaka Kurara have turned into one of the premier tag teams in STARDOM.

They will get their opportunity to win the Goddesses of STARDOM Titles when they face Natsuko Tora & Ruaka once again on Dec. 29th at STARDOM DREAM QUEENDOM 2025.
