On Nov. 23rd, All Japan Pro-Wrestling superstar Yuma Aoyagi ran a red light while driving which caused a vehicle collision that caused a minor injury to the driver of the other car.
It was discovered that Aoyagi had been driving with an expired license. AJPW took swift action and suspended Aoyagi until Feb. 28 2026 with a 50% reduction in pay as well as 3 months house arrest.
Yuma Aoyagi’s younger brother Atsuki Aoyagi is also an AJPW superstar and one of the best Jr. Heavyweight’s in the promotion.
Atsuki released a statement on X regarding Yuma’s unfortunate incident. Atsuki apologized for his brother’s actions. He stated that him and Yuma will strive to make sure it never happens again.

We sincerely apologize for the immense trouble caused by the traffic accident involving my brother, Yuma Aoyagi, who was driving without a license and ran a red light. Both my brother and I will strive to ensure this never happens again. We deeply apologize. (Translated via Deepl)
