On September 13th, Pro Wrestling NOAH announced that former GHC Jr. Heavyweight Champion AMAKUSA will be out of action after doctors found an abnormality during a recent medical evaluation.
AMAKUSA was set to challenge Naomichi Marufuji for the GHC National Championship on September 15th in Kumamoto. However, due to this news, the championship match has since been cancelled.
NOAH posted the update via social media, letting fans know that regardless of being pulled from the match, AMAKUSA will still be present at the event in Kumamoto to conduct a meet and greet in person.
From Pro Wrestling NOAH via X:
“Due to an abnormality found during a routine medical checkup, AMAKUSA will be absent from shows starting with the 9/14 Okayama show.
The GHC National Championship match scheduled for the 9/15 Kumamoto show has been cancelled. AMAKUSA will still attend the Kumamoto show that day to greet fans in person.
We apologize for any inconvenience or concern this may cause to fans, and we appreciate your understanding.”
Everyone at Monthly Puroresu wishes AMAKUSA a full and speedy recovery.
