AJPW World Tag Team Champions Ren Ayabe & Talos Set For Massive Defense Against Jun & Rei Saito

The All Japan Pro-Wrestling DREAM POWER SERIES 2026 tour gets underway on March 15th at Korakuen Hall.

A huge main event had been confirmed for March 15th as the AJPW World Tag Team Champions Ren Ayabe & Talos will defend their titles Jun & Rei Saito.

Jun & Rei Saito are two time AJPW World Tag Team Champions and have been the dominant tag team within AJPW for the last few years. This will be a massive challenge for Ayabe & Talos as this will be their third title defense.

Rei Saito set the wheels in motion for this tag team championship match as he confronted Ayabe & Talos on Feb. 23rd after the Titans of Calamity defeated Hideki Suzuki & Suwama to retain their titles. Saito made the championship challenge which was accepted by Ayabe & Talos and now official for March 15th.

Monthly Puroresu conducted an interview with Talos in Jan. 2025 and asked him about the then potential challenge of Jun & Rei Saito.

“Now this is the million dollar question that everyone keeps asking huh? Those two have been absolutely dominant champions here at AJPW both as tag team champions and Jun as a triple crown champion. But to answer your question, as powerful a force as everyone knows me and Ayabe are I do think not only have to beat the Saito brothers but beat them decisively to truly call ourselves the best tag team in AJPW. As they say “to be the best you have to beat the best” and there’s no doubt those two have been the best here…until now.”

The Titans of Calamity have been on a major roll the past few months. If Ayabe & Talos wish to claim that they are in the best tag team in AJPW, they must accomplish the daunting task of defeating Jun & Rei Saito on March 15th in the confines of Korakuen Hall.
