AJPW Triple Crown Champion Jun Saito Set To Defend His Title Against Yuma Aoyagi On August 10th

The All Japan Pro-Wrestling Triple Crown Champion Jun Saito is set to make his seventh defense of the title as he faces former two time champion Yuma Aoyagi. The championship bout will take place at AJPW Summer Action Wars 2025 on August 10th at the Air Water Arena in Matsumoto.

Aoyagi earned the Triple Crown opportunity when he defeated Davey Boy Smith Jr in a #1 contenders match on July 21st.

This will be Aoyagi’s second attempt at dethroning Saito for the Triple Crown title as the two faced each other in Feb. 2025. Saito defeated Aoyagi in Feb. to retain the title but Aoyagi now has another opportunity to regain the belt he has held twice before.

Jun Saito had been on a roll since winning the AJPW Triple Crown Championship with six successful defenses including his last three in a 51 day period.

Yuma Aoyagi has the chance of being a triple champion if he wins the Triple Crown title. He also currently holds the AJPW World Tag Team Championship and All Asia Tag Teams Titles.

Saito is in the midst of the longest Triple Crown Title reign since June 2021 when Suwama held it for 454 days. Saito is currently at 204 days into his reign as of this writing.
