As reported earlier today, All Japan Pro-Wrestling announced that the have decided to pull Cyrus from the upcoming Champion Carnival 2026 tournament.
To reiterate, according to AJPW, they had previously confirmed the tournament schedule, flight, accommodations and compensation with Cyrus which led to them officially announcing his participation in Champion Carnival 2026 a f ew weeks ago.
After confirming his participation in Champion Carnival 2026, AJPW has claimed they have been unable to communicate with Cyrus. AJPW later learned Cyrus had cancelled the scheduled flight to Japan without any prior notification and they felt they had no choice but to remove him from the tournament.
With the removal of Cyrus from Champion Carnival coming to light, a number of AJPW stars issued comments regarding the situation.
Hideki Suzuki posted a blunt statement which seemed to blame Cyrus for the situation:

Cyrus has not yet released any statement regarding the situation.
AJPW will announce the replacement for Cyrus tomorrow during a press conference they will hold for Champion Carnival 2026 which is set to kick off on April 12.
