Actwres Girl’Z To Appear on All Japan’s New Year Shows

By: Jeff Brown

All Japan Pro Wrestling has announced that on January 2 and 3, Actwres girl’Z will be having a presence on their New Year Giant Series 2024. AWG will have dedicated segments at Korakuen Hall, with the 2nd featuring The Great Asako and a continued search for her papa. The 3rd has AWG Singles Champion Miku Aono teaming with Natsuki against Kouki and Chika Goto.

Recently, Aono, Goto, and Riko Fukunaga were featured in the AJPW video where President Tsuyoki Fukuda announced NXT’s representation on the January 3rd show.

AWG has been a mostly closed environment since their rebranding in 2022 as “actresses performing” and not pro wrestlers, a point that was made clear by Advisor Fuuka Kakimoto in the video that announced their partnership with All Japan two weeks ago.

The company has had a series of special tag team matches for Best Body Japan starting in July, with the roster wrestling themselves. Due to their reclassification, the company rarely has outside talent on their own shows, with Erina Yamanaka from Best Body Japan becoming a visiting member of the roster and Asahi’s initial excursion from Ice Ribbon being a few exceptions.

Actwres girl’Z will be at Korakuen Hall for their final show of the year on December 29th, main evented by Miku Aono defending her AWG Single Championship against Mari.
