Yuji Hino Is The New KO-D Openweight Champion

On the last show of DDT Pro Wrestling “Sweet Dreams”, the monster known as Yuji Hino defeated the KO-D Openweight Champion Kazusada Higuchi on glorious fashion.

After a card of great matches, and great moments, as usual on the, no pun intended, wrestling universe of DDT, the main event of the show was what already many consider the MOTY. Kazusada Higuchi and Yuji Hino went to war, with the most deadly chopfest we could ever asked for. “DDT’s Flagbearer” did everything on his power to hang on, and defend the honor that was given to him by Konosuke Takeshita. Despite his efforts to protect DDT’s values, the man that initially handed him the victory on the D-Oh Grand Prix was destined to start his reign of dominance. Higuchi’s chest was purple, but his spirit was as fiery as ever. His heart wanted to keep going, but the harsh reality of someone superior to him at every level was as crushing as Hino’s Powerbomb.

After the match, the brand new KO-D champion was willing to give us some words, but he was quickly interrupted by the D-Oh Grand Prix finalist, Yukio Naya. Naya challenged Hino, despite him being his tag partner. He stood up for DDT’s young generation of wrestlers, and while he could make a great champion in the future, there’s somebody even better that could challenge somebody like Hino. HARASHIMA, the hero of DDT, came down to the ring and declared he wanted to be KO-D Champion at the 26th Anniversary show of the promotion, to show that he’s still the eternal Ace. The GM of DDT decided that HARASHIMA and Naya will face each other at February 26th, and the winner of that match will face the KO-D Champion at Judgement. In the words of Hino himself, DDT has the potential to become the best promotion in the world this year, and matches like these are the solid proof of this statement. The dramatic dream of Hino is for the heavyweights to show their worth, and he will be the one to command this new generation of wrestlers.
